I’m excited and pleased to share that Dr. Nicole Boutilier has been selected as the new President and CEO of Nova Scotia Health. Dr. Boutilier is an outstanding physician, an inspiring leader, and a celebrated healthcare executive. It’s a very special moment to celebrate and welcome one of my most trusted colleagues and advisors into her new role.
Nova Scotia Health, thank you for an outstanding five years serving as your President and CEO, and for allowing me to be a part of your transformational journey.
The forward progress we’ve experienced over the past few years is the result of an agile, integrated system of nearly 40,000 people firing on all cylinders – and I considered myself a catalyst, by daring to ask (and encouraging all of you to ask) “Why not?”
Together, you have converted the impossible to possible, and I hope that you feel both satisfaction and pride in the work that you’ve done. Dr. Boutilier is ready to lead the Nova Scotia Health team forward, buoyed by your passion, enthusiasm and dedication.
And I will continue to drive your ambitions forward in my next role as CEO of Accelerate Nova Scotia, focusing on new patient treatments, growing the health economy, and leveraging investments and industry partnerships. Creating sustainable healthcare is my next step in this transformation journey, future-proofing healthcare.
