Nova Scotia Health Physician Recruiter Recognized on National Stage

Physician Recruitment Consultant Rebecca Cassidy was recognized earlier this week by the Canadian Society of Physician Recruitment with a Recruiter Recognition Award.

This national award honours Rebecca’s commitment and passion to attract, recruit and retain physicians in Canada.

“What truly sets Rebecca apart is the bespoke experience she provides to every physician she works with. She approaches recruitment with warmth, care and a genuine desire to ensure physicians feel welcomed, supported and confident in their transition to rural practice,” says nominator and team member, Liz Fraser.

The award was bestowed at the CaSPR conference in Charlottetown, PEI, where Rebecca was joined by members of the team, including Physician Recruitment Manager Shelley Stoyles.

“Rebecca Cassidy exemplifies what it means to be an exceptional physician recruiter. Her work goes beyond understanding what a physician is looking for professionally – she takes the time to understand what they, and often their families, need from a community to truly feel at home,” says Shelley.

“A recruiter is a connector, bridging the aspirations of physicians with the unique strengths of communities, and Rebecca does this with insight, care and authenticity. This recognition reflects the meaningful impact she makes every day.”

Executive Vice President of Medicine and Clinical Operations, Dr. Nicole Boutilier, has joined Rebecca at recruitment events and is thrilled for her recognition. “She is extremely deserving of this honour. Her energy and passion for Nova Scotia is evident and physicians line up to speak with her. Congratulations, Rebecca!”
