Elana Whelan is Nova Scotia Health’s Provincial Medical Affairs Lead, overseeing provincial programs and networks under the Medical Affairs portfolio.
She brings more than twenty years of Human Resources experience with many of those years working in leadership within academia, healthcare, and research environments. In addition to her experience she has a Master’s of Human Resource Management degree from York University, undergraduate degree from Western University as well as a Labour Relations certificate from Queen’s University and certification in human resources (CPHR).
Outside of work, Elana enjoys sailing, kayaking and hiking. She and her spouse, Lee, have two golden retrievers (Enzo and Autumn) who are involved in all their outdoor adventures.
