Dr. Kenneth Rockwood is the foremost international expert on frailty, an accomplished researcher, and health system leader. He is also the Kathryn Allen Weldon Professor of Alzheimer Research at Dalhousie University, where he has taught in geriatric medicine and neurology for 30 years. A native of Newfoundland, he received his MD from Memorial University, and completed internal medicine training at the University of Alberta and geriatric medicine at Dalhousie University. Most recently, Dr. Rockwood served as senior medical director of Acute Medicine for Nova Scotia Health, where he maintains an active clinical practice and provides consultation services across the province. Ken lives in Halifax with his wife. They have two sons.
