Dr. Heather Johnson is the Medical Site Lead at the South Shore Regional Hospital. She is involved in the day-to-day operations at the hospital while also contributing to strategic, long-term planning.
Born in Pembroke, Ontario, Dr. Johnson grew up in New Brunswick. She attended medical school and completed residency training in family medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador before moving to Nova Scotia with her husband. She is currently a family physician at Bridgewater & Area Family Health Centre, occasionally a hospitalist at SSRH, and is on the Board of Directors at DoctorsNS.
Dr. Johnson lives on a farm with dogs, cats, hens, and children, just a short 1.5 kilometers from the hospital.
