DESCRIPTION:The interactive session will help equip physician leaders with 
 practical tools and insights to navigate conflict effectively in high-pres
 sure\, clinical settings. Participants will explore strategies for appreci
 ating diverse perspectives\, regulating emotional responses and communicat
 ing clearly under stress.  Through reviewing theories\, evidence-informed 
 practices and guided discussion opportunities\, attendees will gain confid
 ence in managing difficult conversations and fostering collaborative solut
 ions.\n\nAbout the presenter\, Scott Furlotte: \n\nScott Furlotte is a Con
 flict Resolution and Mediation Consultant. Scott holds a Master of Science
  in Business Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire and an underg
 raduate degree from Harvard University.  Scott serves as a faculty member 
 with the Nova Scotia Community College in the School of Health and Human S
 ervices\, and with Acadia University’s Department of Psychology.  Scott 
 has consulted on the topic of conflict and change both nationally and inte
 rnationally.\n\nThis virtual session is part of the Doctors' Lounge Commun
 ity of Practice for Nova Scotia Health physicians. This forum and series o
 f facilitated topics is a place where physician leaders across the provinc
 e can connect and build skills\, competencies and confidence around comple
 x leadership topics. The forum will provide leaders with the opportunity t
 o build a network of support through colleagues and other experts in leade
 rship development\, workplace conflict and resilience.\n
