Perioperative (Surgical) Services are delivered at 17 Nova Scotia Health facilities across the province. These services include preoperative care and clinics, day surgery, operating rooms, post anesthesia care units, inpatient surgical units, medical device reprocessing (MDR) services and the Centralized Surgical Services Program (CSSP), which supports patients receiving treatment under the Workers’ Compensation Board. Surgeries are also provided through partnerships with Halifax Vision Centre and Scotia Surgery.
